Pilot Car Registry has been actively pursuing previously unknown research regarding the F-Car since 2010.  Through this research, many historic and rare photos were retrieved and saved for educational purposes.

Although not all of these photographs were a by-product of our relationship with the General Motors Heritage Center...it has always been our desire to share these images in a transparent manner with our viewers free of charge.

Many of these photos have been examined extensively under extremely high resolution for details within our research...for example, Pre-Production photographs of cars without emblems or with emblem abnormalities are a result of the lack of formalized emblems until just prior to production beginning on August 7, 1966.

Other historic photos and 16mm reel to reel film that are particularly useful are inscribed with dates that allow us to attribute directly to our historic document archive.  Regardless of the precise context, the remaining vintage photographs offer a rare and extraordinary glimpse into automotive history.

Our archive of original photographs and historic 16mm reel to reel film currently stands at approximately 1500 images in high resolution format.  Please feel free to download and print any photographs on this website...we exist for the enjoyment and education of the car hobby.
