The Mission Statement of Pilot Car Registry exists to protect the historical significance of the F-Car Camaro Pilot Prototypes.  On rare occasions, this includes the search for a new curator of the remaining examples.

 

With approximately only 10 cars remaining after 50 years, this is an important responsibility.  Any car that you see for sale here... will have already been certified and authenticated in person by Pilot Car Registry.

 

To this end, it will have been vetted as a perfect match historically to its individual General Motors factory records. Additionally, our authentication process includes documentation of the hand-built coaches and prototype parts, the consistent differences of these prototype vehicles to their assembly line counterparts that followed months later, and a concise and documented ownership history that spans from birth.

 

This process reflects the top-tier historical importance of this General Motors program and stands to protect the integrity of all remaining examples and their individual curators.
